In 2019, Adivi Sesh's '2 States' was shelved after a good portion of the movie was shot. It was a rom-com.

For the first time, the 'Kshanam' actor has opened up about the stalled project. Speaking to a movie portal, Sesh alleged that its debutant director, Venkat Reddy, was both arrogant and ignorant. He shouted at not just the hero but also others, Sesh claimed.

The quality of the output was "poor", making Sesh walk out of the project.

In May 2019, director Venkat Reddy had a different version of the story. He alleged that producer MLV Sathyanarayana was the reason the project had to be stalled. The director claimed that he had made the film pretty well to the satisfaction of the cast and crew. However, the producer insisted on some random script changes. He even threatened legal action against the producer.
