'Shamshera' (Hindi) is slated to hit the cinemas on July 22 in multiple languages, including Telugu. Also featuring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, the film is massive in terms of scale.
Since the period action film has Ranbir in a dual role, a promotional video featuring two Ranbirs has been released by the makers of the film. The interviewer is Ranbir Kapur, while the interviewee is actor Ranbir Kapoor. The former is a fictional character who believes that he couldn't make it to Bollywood even though he looks exactly like the latter because his surname is Kapur and not Kapoor. The interviewer calls the interviewee a donkey, besides making fun of his flops like 'Besharam'.
Coming to 'Shamshera', the film tells the story of a dacoit tribe, and their fight for independence against British rule. Directed by Karan Malhotra, it is produced by Aditya Chopra.
Ranbir Kapoor's other pan-India release is 'Brahmastra', which is slated to hit the cinemas on September 9. Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Akkineni Nagarjuna have key roles in it.
