'Akhanda', which was released in theatres on December 2 last year, has completed a 50-day run in 103 centres. Nandamuri Balakrishna made it a point to watch the movie yesterday at Sudarshan 35 mm theater in Hyderabad's RTC X Roads with his enthusiastic, die-hard fans. He was accompanied by the entire team.

Speaking on the occasion, the 'Legend' actor became nostalgic and said that being at the famous theatre brought back the memories of being at the Ramakrishna Studio, which was founded by his late father, NTR.

He also added that he had watched his milestone hit 'Samarasimha Reddy' at the same theatre way back in the late 1990s.

Balayya then spoke of his role in 'Akhanda', which is a Boyapati Srinu directorial. "I was enthused to play a devotee of Shiva, keeping my father in mind. Just like the Sankranthi festival, this is the Akhanda festival," he said, adding that the audience have felt like it was going on a pilgrimage to watch the movie.

Thanking his fans, he also hailed his father on the occasion. "'Akhanda' is not a pan-India movie, this is a pan-world movie," he added.

Boyapati made a reference to the stats related to the film's successful run. Nizam distributor Sirish Reddy and others were also present.
