'Akhanda' was released in theatres on December 2 last year when no other big-ticket film was prepared to hope against hope. The film started out slowly but eventually, it became one of the biggest blockbusters ever.
The news is that the Balakrishna-starrer has successfully completed a 50-day run in 103 centres in the Telugu States.
In terms of collections, too, the Boyapati Srinu directorial has been on a rampage. From both theatrical (gross) and non-theatrical sources, 'Akhanda' has made Rs 200 Cr. This is the biggest hit in Balayya's career.
The theatrical run was palpably high during the Sankranthi.
The Overseas performance of 'Akhanda' was highly encouraging in the first month, with the movie crossing the 1-million dollar mark in the US. It also did well in UK and Australia.
