The Mayor of Edison City has allocated prime land in the City of Edison, New Jersey, for the installation of a grand statue of the legend.

The statue will be put up as part of the ongoing centennial celebrations of NTR's birth. "This will be the first statue of NTR in a public location in the US," a source says.

Entrepreneur and Tollywood film producer TG Vishwa Prasad (his People Media Factory is one of the most prolific and prestigious production houses in Telugu cinema, bringing out some of the most awaited movies these days) is the one who initiated the proposal first. The Telugus rallied behind the cause, thanks to his initiation.

It is learnt that Sam Joshi, the Mayor of Edison, reviewed the proposal and took into consideration the emotional feelings of Telugus for NTR. It helped matters that Joshi is a Person of Indian Origin. A few delegates are also working towards making the statue become a reality.

The role of the North American Seema Andhra Association in manifesting this into a reality has been talked about. It is NASAA that is funding and orchestrating the whole tribute.

Sri Atluri, Swati Atluri, and office-bearers at NAASA and TANA have been involved personally. Anjiah Chowdary (the TANA President) and Ravi Potluri (the TANA 2023 convention chair) are engaged passionately in the endeavour.
