God Bless Entertainment has announced a pan-India film with Ranveer Singh as the hero. Shankar will be directing this remake of 'Anniyan'.
Talking about the project, which will go on the floors in mid-2022, Shankar said, "The mercurial Ranveer Singh is apt for the role. He is a one-in-a-generation actor who has shown us that he can immortalize a character through his stellar performance. I am confident that this powerful story will strike a chord in the hearts of all."
The 'Gully Boy' actor said, "I can only hope that my interpretation and rendition of the part also connects with audiences in the same way. It’s undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime performance piece, and I am ready to give this role every single ounce of my being." He added that Shankar is a genius filmmaker.
Dr. Jayantilal Gada is producing the movie on a large scale.
