Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that the Telugu film industry will be helped with subsidies and incentives such as exemptions to tide over the coronavirus-driven crisis. A number of Telugu industry personalities called on the CM at Pragathi Bhawan on Sunday. They conveyed to KCR the various hardships the industry has faced this year due to the lockdown.
The CM is said to have assured them of all support in keeping with the government's efforts to attract new industries. "After Mumbai and Chennai, it is the Hyderabad film industry that is the largest in the country. Lakhs of people find employment because of it. We will help the industry in collaboration with the industry," KCR is reported to have said.
Ahead of the GHMC polls, the TRS manifesto will comprise of issues addressing the grievances of Tollywood. Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Narayan Das Narang, KL Damodar Prasad, C Kalyan, Sudhakar Reddy, Niranjan Reddy and others were present. A meet will be held at Chiranjeevi's residence soon.
