'Murder', directed by Anand Chandra and produced by the Natti Karuna-Natti Kranthi duo, will release in theatres on December 24. Conceived by Ram Gopal Varma, the family drama is presented by Anuraag Kancharla.

RGV said that the film is based on several real incidents. "We are going to hold a presser in Miriyalaguda on December 22. 'Murder' reflects the incessant war between children and parents. What happens when their likes are not respected? That's what the film is about," he added.

The director said, "The film has got so much emotional heft. All parents will connect with the story. There are several myths doing the rounds about 'Murder'. But all of them will be addressed by our film."

The producers said that 'Murder' will show the truth as it is. The pitfalls of excessive parental attachment have been portrayed in the movie, they added. "We have received a number of threatening calls ever since our film went on the floors. Some callers told us that theatres will be attacked if we release it in Miriyalaguda. We told them to first watch the movie and then react," the producers said.

Srikanth Iyengar, Sahithi, Gayatri Bhargavi, Giridhar, Deepak and Ganesh are seen in the movie. Music is by DSR.
