Prabhas is in the news for an exciting reason. He has joined hands with Om Raut of the Hindi-language blockbuster 'Tanhaji' fame for a film titled 'Adipurush'. To be based on the Ramayana, it will feature a major Bollywoodian as Prabhas' villain.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair, the film will be made in Hindi and Telugu. It will not only be dubbed into all South Indian languages but also in some international languages.
This 2022 release, to be shot from next year, will be shot in 3D. The 'Radhe Shyam' actor has hinted that his character in the movie is based on Lord Rama. "Every role and every character comes with its own challenges. But portraying a character like this comes with a tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film," he said today.
The project is believed to have come through thanks to T-Series' Bhushan Kumar, who has co-produced 'Saaho' (with UV Creations) and is currently bankrolling 'Radhe Shyam' (with UV Creations).
