'Adipurush': Prabhas' film starts off with motion capture works

'Adipurush', which has been touted to be a magnum opus, stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan as Rama and Ravana, respectively. The news is that, starting today, director Om Raut has begun the motion capture works for this VFX-heavy movie.

Producer Bhushan Kumar of T- Series has suggested that the film will deploy cutting-edge technology for the purpose. "The director and his team are creating an entire world of 'Adipurush' using technology, which has been used in international cinema over the years," he added. This is one of its kind in Indian cinema.

Producer Prasad Sutar said that high-end visual effects combined with real-time technology is used in Hollywood to give a fillip to story-telling. "Adipurush is a huge mission for all of us and we are looking forward to embarking on this journey with Bhushan, the producer," he added.

Meanwhile, the film's muhurat will be held on February 2.
