Nandamuri Balakrishna on Saturday unfurled the Tricolour at the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad. The actor-politician is the Chairman of the hospital.
The flag-hoisting event saw the attendance of Dr RV Prabhakara Rao (CEO), G Ravi Kumar (COO), Dr TS Rao (Medical Director), Dr Kalpana Raghunath (Associate Director) and others. Balayya was seen wearing a face mask. It is one of his few public appearances since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion, Balayya paid homage to the freedom fighters and lauded their supreme sacrifices. He urged the gathering to work toward strengthening the country on all fronts. As the chairman of the hospital, Balayya also gave a pat on the back of its staff for their services.
