‘Dadupalayam’ sequel ‘Dandupalyam 2’ has taken off on today i.e. on March 24. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Govindu sounded the clap board for the muhurat shot which was filmed on the photos of deities. South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce HD Gangaraju and Karnataka Film Chamber Distribution Sector Vice President MN Suresh have attended the function. Donnie Kuttappa, Muni, Jayadev, Petrol Prasanna and Cinematographer Venkata Prasad and some others were also present at the function.
Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee starrer ‘Dandupalyam’, which was made under Venkat Movies banner, has created sensation. ‘Dandupalyam 2’ is being made as the sequel to ‘Dandupalyam’ which was a hundred days film in Telugu and Kannada.
Speaking at the film launch event, director Srinivas Raju said, “Even though we have idea to start the sequel for ‘Dandpalyam’ after the success, it didn’t happen immediately. When we were gathering information for that film, I wondered that we have good scope in crime even. In this film we are showing the background of the first film. The film will be shown in three perspectives like police department, media and people. It is quite common that we exaggerate the news even if it is good or bad. People too discuss about it. In this we are showcasing a real crime incident. In fact I hate this, but I diluted that crime in this film. We are not giving any message through this film.”
“I’m very happy to do the sequel for ‘Dandupalyam’. Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee starrer ‘Dandupayam’, which was released in 2012 was a huge hit and ran hundred days both in Telugu and Kannada. Now the sequel is being made in Telugu and Kannada languages simultaneously. We are planning to wrap up the shooting part by June or July months and release the film in August or September,” said producer Venkat.
