Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee starrer ‘Dandupayam’, which was made under Venkat Movies banner, has created sensation. After the success of ‘Dandupalyam’, a sequel ‘Dandupalyam 2’ will be launched on March 24, with the same team to be directed by Srinivas Raju and produced by Venkat. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged press meet on Sunday (March 20) in Hyderabad. Director Srinivas Raji, producer Venkat and BA Raju were present at the press meet.
Speaking at the press meet, producer Venkat said, “Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee starrer ‘Dandupayam’, which was released in 2012 was a big hit in Telugu. Now, after 3 years we have decided to make the sequel. We are planning to launch the film on March 24. We are planning in such a way to wrap up the shooting part in June or July and release the film in August or September. We hope everyone will encourage us.”
Director Srinivas Raju said, “After the success of ‘Dandupalya’, we wanted to launch a sequel on March 24. The film will depict the truth. As I’m busy with 2 films commitments, we have not started the sequel immediately. We will show the story which is behind the original part. The film goes on in three angles like police department, media and people. There are many real incidents in our real life which we have to accept for example Masjid on shivalayam in Kashi and Masjid on Ramamandiram in Ayodhya. I’m planning to make films based on such type of biopics. Actually I hate this story, but I will present the crime in a dilution way. You find no message in the film.”
“We all know that ‘Dandupalyam’ which was released in 2012 was a big success. Now, a sequel for that film will be made. The film will be made simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada languages,” said BA Raju.
