Filming on director James Wan’s seventh film in the ‘Fast and Furious’ series began. As mentioned earlier,
Deepika Padukone, who was offered a meaty role in the film is no more in the film. It was reported that the actress opted out of the film citing dates problem which has raised the eye-brows of many in Indian film industry. Yes, when the makers of ‘Fast and Furious 7’ wanted her call sheets from September to January, Deepika had no other option except to miss the golden opportunity because she has recently commited to Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ costarring Shahrukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Deepika and Shahrukh Khan together delivered two super duper hits ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Chennai Express’ and this is their third film together. Her well-wishers also feel that Deepika’s preference to ‘Happy New Year’ is genuine because this year she is already in top league with two blockbusters like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewai’ and ‘Chennai Express’. Her two other Indian films ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ are slated for release by end of this year or early next year.
