Manisha Koirala, who played a critically acclaimed role in 2003 ‘Market’, directed by Jay Prakash is all set to appear in its sequel too. Director Jay Prakash is planning to come out with its sequel as ‘Market-2’. Speaking about his new project he said, “Manisha is my lucky heroine. She played the central role in ‘Market’. Now I’m planning to do ‘Market-2’ also with her. I’ve already narrated the script to her. She was very impressed by it. She is presently in the US taking chemotherapy for cancer.” Sources close to her say that the treatment is likely to continue till July. Soon after she returns the director is keen on signing in Manisha for his sequel project.
The film ‘Market’ deals with the subject of Indian brothels. The story is that an Arab lady will be sold out to Indian brothels by her Arab husband who later takes revenge on him. The story will continue with ‘Market-2’.
