‘Top Rankers’ starring Dr Rajendra Prasad in key role as Hitler has completed its shooting part successfully. Gollapati Nageswara Rao directed the film and Pasupuleti Brahma produced it on Vishwa Vission Films banner. A press meet was held on the last day of shooting at Rama Naidu Studio today (July 25, 2013).
Dr Rajendra Prasad said, “Top Rankers is about today’s education system which is different from its routine. The audience will get involved in the story and watch the film. Today generation is being very reckless when it comes to health and beauty. We have seen class room comedy in several films. But this is the film that tells the fact in a comedy room. The director has shown the bonding between students and gurus in a satirical manner. I’ll be seen as a Hitler in this film which is an unforgettable one in my life. My father is also a school teacher. This film will connect with every house that has children in it.”
Director Gollapati Nageswara Rao said, “Today is the last day of shooting and we are going to end it with a song shoot. Our film will showcase the journey of students from LKG to EMCET plus it also deals with today’s education system. The story also tells about how the parents are treating their children. This is not a regular commercial film. It took around 1 ½ years to prepare this scipt and about 4 months to select the artists. We have completed the editing and dubbing work as well. Producer has cooperated with me a lot. Rajendra Prasad gave a wonderful performance in the role of a Hitler. We are planning to release the audio and film next month. The youth will definitely connect well with ‘Top Rankers’. If you like the film convey it to 100 people and if you don’t like it convey it to 1000 people. ‘Top Rankers’ is sure a thought provoking film.”
Producer Pusupuleti Brahma said, “Gollapati Nageswara Rao has come out with an amazing story. We shot the film for 24 days. We are very happy to have Rajendra Prasad garu as part of our film. We will release the audio in August 1st week. We shot the movie in St Mary’s college. Script is wonderful.”
