Playback singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha Bhosle, 56, committed suicide by shooting herself in the head with a licensed revolver on Monday at her Prabhu Kunj residence at Peddar Road in Mumbai. Varsha’s body was found in her home on Monday, the 8th of October and was sent to the JJ Hospital for the post-mortem. While no suicide note was found, Varsha was said to have suffered from depression for quite long time and was also hospitalized few weeks ago after she sttempted suicide by consuming overdose of sleeping pills. Like Asha Bhosle, Varsha Bhosle was also a playback singer and sang for few Hindi and Marathi movies apart from performing concerts along with her mother. Varsha was a journalist and writer as well.
