The trailer of ‘Gajaraju’ has earned immense popularity to the film due to its wide publicity by producer Bellamkonda Suresh. This Telugu dubbed version of Tamil film ‘Kumki’ is the maiden movie of Vikram Prabhu (Shivaji Ganeshan’s grandson & Prabhu’s son). It also costars Lakshmi Menon opposite him. Prabhu Solmon directed the film on elephant’s backdrop and the movie was shot with rich production values.
Bellamkonda Suresh bought the Telugu rights and is releasing it on Friday. In a pre-release press meet held on Thursday, Suresh said, “Gajaraju is the film on elephants’ backdrop which is coming after a long time after ‘Rajendrudu Gajendrudu’. Pre-shoot permission was taken from the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWOI) by applying for NOC along with the script. The shooting was done only after the formal approval and after prior intimation of date, time and exact location of film shooting was communicated to the Board. The story revolves around tribals and how the hero solves their problems. Elephants plays vital role in this film. Vikram Prabhu and
