Surya and Priyamani are going to appear on silver screen as conjoined twins in two different films at the same time. We are aware that Priyamani is essaying the roles of siamese twins in the female centric film ‘Charulatha’. Similarly Surya is also playing the same in his upcoming film ‘Maattrraan’. However, the filmmakers of the two films have clarified that their films have no other similarity except for the fact that both the actors have played siamese twins. While Surya’s ‘Maattrraan’ is a full-fledged commercial entertainer, Priyamani’s ‘Charulatha’ is a thriller inspired by a Thai horror film. Both the films are going to hit theaters at the same time. ‘Maattrraan’ starring Surya and Kajal Agarwal which is written and directed by cinematographer turned director K V Anand, is being dubbed in Telugu as ‘Duplicate’.
