RK, who did a villain role in Bala’s ‘Vaadu Veedu’ is getting very good response from the audience. The movie starring Vishal and Arya as males lead was recently released in Telugu. So far RK did 5 Tamil films as hero out of which 3 were released. ‘Vaadu Veedu’ is his first film as villain. He also produced many films in Tamil. Noticing that his role in ‘Vaadu Veedu’ is getting very good response, RK held a press meet to share his happiness.

I want to earn a villain image in Telugu

After doing few films as male lead in Tamil, I wanted to do a role in Bala’s film. But he insisted me to do a villain role in this film saying that he would give me a hero role in his next film. Hence I portrayed villain role in ‘Vaadu Veedu’. The response for my character is more than what I expected. I think I got the same image on par with Gabbar Singh in ‘Sholay’. Bala garu gave me a powerful role which would handle two heroes and I’m really happy to note the appreciations that the role has received. In Bala’s next film I’m doing one of the 3 heroes but I want to earn the villain image in Telugu. I produced many films in Tamil and want to produce films in Telugu as well. I intend to remake few Telugu films in Tamil. Therefore I watched them all and is impressed with some of them.

I’m lucky to work with Bala

It’s really an honor to get a chance in Bala’s film. I thank him for giving me one such remarkable role. It’s a great experience working with him. He explained my character and asked me not to remove my beard and moustache. Even though I participated in the shooting for 60 days, I was living with the same getup for about an year. I just cannot express how happy I felt as long as I was doing this character. The fights are also very natural. All action scenes were shot without using any ropes. Vishal had some injuries while performing these fights.
