Rafi is acting, directing and producing the film titled ‘Inkennallu’ under Rafi Movies banner. This movie is all set to release on December 30th. On this occasion a press meet was organised by the unit members in Hyderabad.
In this programme JAC Chairman Prof A Kodandaram said, “Inkennallu is the film on Telangana backdrop. This film will reflect the lives of Telangana people, their culture and traditions. The people of Telangana are fighting for their rights for quite a long time. We are already watching presently the way they are struggling to get a separate state. People of Telangana only know to sing and dance, therefore they are conveying their dreams through that. Even after so many years after the Telugu film industry has come, there is no prominence given to Telangana people. However, recently few of them worked on it, earned their reputation and giving platform for others for their livelihood. For the past few days the people of Telangana are eagerly waiting to see separate Telangana. Therefore Rafi made ‘Inkennallu’ on that backdrop. So such films need to be encouraged more. Some of them are trying to keep the theaters on their hold due to which small films are face lot of problems. So taking that into consideration I request the distributors and exhibitors to cooperate and support small films.”
Rafi said, “Inkennallu depicts the Telangana movement that has been occurring for the past three generations. We have not made this film with the intention of making money on the name of Telangana movement. This movie has to be watched by all everyone including those insanes to know the cause for separate Telangana. FM Radio, which is giving publicity to every other film is belittling the songs that are on Telangana backdrop and insulting us. This one incident is enough to tell why we are craving for separate Telangana. People have come here on the name of business, living on this land, breathing this air, snatching our land and insulting us. How many days more (Inkennallu) should were struggle like this?”
According to Dr Sridhar, ‘Maa Bhoomi’ sustained at box-office by competing with ‘Sankarabharanam’ during those days. So ‘Inkennallu’ will definitely become hit in that line.”
This press meet was also attended by President of Gazette Officers Association Srinivas Gaud, OU students JAC president Pidamarthi Ravi, distributors Lingam Gaud, Satyanarayana Gaud, Ravula Vishwanath Reddy, etc.
