Kalidasu fame Sushanth and also the grandson of great legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao celebrates his first birthday after he started his career in Tollywood. The actor started a new project Current opposite with Sneha Ullal which would hit the screens this summer. On the occasion of his birthday he shared a few moments with us. Here it goes….
What is so special about this birthday for you?
This is the first birthday for me after entering into Tollywood. I never had a big fat birthday with public. This year I’m celebrating the event with Akkineni fans at Annapurna Studios.
Who represents your style?
After the release of Kalidasu my grandfather Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu complimented that for the whole of our family I have a unique style of acting. Although many of the audience say that my style is similar to Nag uncle, I’m working hard and would improve with the upcoming movies for a unique style and mannerism.
How did your root start for the ‘Current’ project?
The movie root started after Director Surya Pratap came up with the story and my Mom (Naga Suseela) and Chinthalapudi Srinivas Rao got impressed and agreed to produce it again on our banner Sri Nag Corporation. Devi Sri Prasad had given a word that he would give his best for the movie and the music would be definitely a super hit like his previous projects.
How is the experience with new co-star Sneha Ullal?
It’s wonderful, I hope the chemistry between us worked out beautifully and would definitely impress the audience. This time I had more time to spend with Sneha than Tamanna in the later debut. I hope it would definitely generate Current in the youth after watching the movie.
Will you be interested in doing a multi starred movie?
Firstly I need to prove myself in the industry and only then would think of doing a multi start movie. Moreover it’s too early to even think about it.
How about working with other banners?
I certainly did not take an oath that I should work only on our family banner. Would really workout and see if the story suits me.
Tell us something about Current
It’s a beautiful love story and a youthful entertainer moving around a jovial boy. After my first debut my grand father Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao commented that romance should be given utmost importance which I had thought upon and presented in this movie. The title Current exactly suited us as the chemistry between me and Sneha Ullal worked out the best.
Lastly who inspires you and your role model?
The role model would be none other than my grandfather Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu, he is ultimate and my inspiration is my uncle Nagarjuna.
