Gehna Sippy awaits the theatrical release of 'Gaalodu', which hits the cinemas on November 18. Starring Sudigali Sudheer as the hero, the film also features Saptagiri, Shakalaka Shankar, and others. It is written and directed by Raja Sekar Reddy Pulicharla and has music by Bheems Ceciroleo. Catch Gehna, who was recently seen in 'Chor Bazaar', talk about the movie.

I grew up in Mumbai where I graduated in Commerce. While in college, I was hardly into studies because my focus was entirely on acting. There was no parental pressure as well. I was obsessed with movies and watched too many of them during the lockdown, right from films like 'Mahanati' to many others. Tollywood attracted me instantly. I love 'Fidaa'. I am also a fan of Sai Pallavi.

The director cast me in 'Gaalodu' after seeing my profile and photographs. I know the meaning of the title as an idler who is good for nothing (laughs). I think the title is quite appealing and the audience have connected with it.

I am a bubbly college-going girl from a rich family in the film. It's a relatable character in many ways. Since the film is a love story, my character has got a lot of importance. It was a joyous experience shooting for the movie in different locations, especially Ladakh. It was challenging to shoot in tough weather conditions.

Sudheer is a nice human being who makes everyone comfortable. Your fellow actors have to be empathetic and understanding. It was fun working with him. I have previously watched his 'Jabardasth' skits. While I am a rich girl in the film, he comes from a different economic background in 'Gaalodu'. How we bump into each other and our friendship takes off is fun to watch.

We were sportive on set. C Ram Prasad, who is the cinematographer of 'Akhanda', has done a great job. Since he and others were communicating in Telugu on set, I could pick the language somewhat.

Bheems Ceciroleo's music is enjoyable. There are five songs in total and I am part of three of them. Music plays a key role in every movie and I am a lover of music. I listen to film music, devotional songs and all at home!

In 'Chor Bazaar', my previous film, I played a mute girl. Before entering the Telugu film industry, I watched a lot of Telugu movies. Over the years, I have learned to go with the flow. I am learning the ropes as an actor.

Dance is something I am trained in. I have been fond of dance and acting since childhood. I used to teach dance as well. If a decent 'item' song comes my way and it is classy, I am ready to latch onto it. I am not against doing special songs. It has to be a peppy one like the recent 'Ranu Ranu' and 'Ma Ma Mahesha'.
