'Anubhavinchu Raja' will be released in theatres on November 26. In this interview, actor Raj Tarun talks about his character, playing a security guard, his association with Annapurna Studios, his future movies, and more.

Bangaram is a character I enjoyed a lot playing. The film was shot in Bhimavaram, a place I enjoy myself living in. I had good food while shooting for the entertainer. It has been long since I have played a hyperactive character.

Playing a security guard in the movie helped me understand the difficulties involved in undergoing training for the job. Security guards are everywhere. We see our guard's face every morning and at the end of every day. If the guard greets us with a happy face, it cheers up our mood. If not, we would feel bad.

This is director Sreenu Gavireddy's second movie. He has matured with time. He is patient and has become more optimistic in his outlook.

Working for an Annapurna Studios movie was a thrilling experience. The script was endorsed by Supriya Yarlagadda garu, Naga Chaitanya garu and Nagarjuna garu. They felt that I would be the aptest to play the role. I feel lucky to have got to work with the Annapurna banner thrice in my career.

This is a family entertainer. 'Anubhavinchu Raja' was never planned to be a Sankranthi release. Due to the lockdown, the writing department worked on the script to fine-tune it. The Censor formalities were completed 45 days ago. We were intent on a theatrical release because it's an entertainer.

Kashish Khan learned the lines by heart and delivered her lines without prompting. There is a family drama, father-son sentimental track, and other ingredients in the movie.

Posani garu, Sudarshan and others have delivered entertainment besides my character. Coming to Gopi Sundar's music, this is my third outing with him. He shares a strong bond with the director. He was not particular about the remuneration either.

The film has a cockfight backdrop. I personally don't endorse gambling. I love animals and it was easy to shoot with the roosters for 'Anubhavinchu Raja'.

My next films are 'Stand Up Rahul' (a coming-of-age love story) and 'Mass Maharaju' (a distinct commercial entertainer where my slang will be entirely different). The former is in the post-production phase. 'AR' is my 14th film. Without success, I wouldn't have done these many movies. Some movies flop because of a variety of reasons. It's a learning process. I am proud of every film that I have done. I have no regrets. There was a time when I didn't know how to reach Hyderabad. Today, I am a 14-film old actor.

I will be teaming up with a new director for a thriller. If I like the script, I go for it. I have received an offer to do a web series. I loved the script but couldn't do it because of a callsheet-related issue.
