Anup Rubens is happy that the jukebox of '30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela' has become a big hit. In this interview, he talks about working on the movie, teaming up with Pradeep Machiraju, his upcoming movies and more. The rom-com will release in theatres on January 29.

'Manam' was beyond numbers. Social media was not as deep at that time. Today, enabled by social media, the songs of '30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela' have become huge chartbusters.

It's only because of the director's explanation of the situation and the story that If I could bring out a beautiful song like 'Neeli Neeli Aakasam'. It was the first song that I composed for the movie. I was inspired by the situation to give my best. After the tune was completed, we brainstormed as to who should be the lyricist. I suggested Chandra Bose garu's name, as I like him a lot.

The song on the mother was written by Ananth Sreeram. Another song was written by me and Pradeep Machiraju. The rest of the songs were penned by Bose garu.

Soon after I listened to the first half of the film, I knew that there is so much scope for good music. I decided to sign the project anon. The producer has to be appreciated for not selling the film to some OTT platform. Thanks to his passion, we are going to watch the movie on the big screen.

'30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela' is a complete entertainer wherein all kinds of emotions are there. People have a lot of expectations from Pradeep. And they won't be disappointed. He is good at comedy as well as other acting genres. I am happy, after watching the final output, that I have worked on a very good movie.

The film's background music is so special. The second half is replete with emotions. I think the audience will connect with the BGM. As a musician, I am more than happy when my songs help to take a film to the audience before its theatrical release. It has happened with '30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela' big-time.

During the lockdown, I listened to some scripts. I have also started working on a couple of projects.

I have done commercial movies like 'Paisaa Vasool', 'Katamarayudu' and 'Gopala Gopala'. I have been grabbing offers as they come. I go with any genre, provided there is an opportunity.

Besides 'Odela Railway Station', I am also doing Satish Vegesna's 'Kothi Komachi'. There is time for Teja garu's project to happen. I have done a project titled 'Tadka' in Hindi. I have also been doing Kannada projects. Years ago, I did the remake of 'Ishq' in Tamil. It was approached like a fresh project.
