Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles, ‘Pandavullo Okadu’ is the Telugu dubbed version of super-duper hit Tamil comedy film ‘Kappal’ directed by Karthik G Krish. Hat trick hit director Maruthi is bringing this film to the Telugu audience with S Pictures as presenter. The film has completed all formalities and is arriving theaters on 24th of July. On this occasion hero Vaibhav took some time to chat with the media about his upcoming release ‘Pandavullo Okadu’. Here are the excerpts:
What character did you play in the film?
‘Pandavullo Okadu’ is the Telugu dubbed version of super-duper hit Tamil comedy film ‘Kappal’. It’s an out and out comedy entertainer. I’m extremely confident that the film which became super-duper hit in Tamil, will become super hit in Telugu as well. My role in the film will be very different. He has four close friends. The incidents that happens in their lives will be very hilarious and make audience laugh. The story is about five close friends, who seriously decides not to marry lifelong because they believe that marriage will spoil their friendship. One fine day heroine Sonam Bajwa enters into their happy life. The rest of the story is about the changes in their life and friendship with the arrival of heroine.”
Tell us about your co-star Sonam Bajwa?
Sonam Bajwa is a Mumbai girl. She has given wonderful performance. She earned good name ad recognition in Tamil. I’m sure she will earn good name in Telugu also. This is her first film. She is a very nice co-star.
How did Maruthi react after watching the film?
Maruthi is a renowned director in Telugu. He has good name in youth. After watching the film in Tamil, Maruthi said that he wanted to dub it in Telugu. It has boosted my confidence levels. He made some small changes during dubbing to suit for Telugu nativity.
What are the highlights of the film?
The films will run in a comedy mode throughout. Good screenplay and youthful love story. Maruthi garu has extracted good dialogues which suits for Telugu nativity.
Do you have any plans to become a director?
Yes. I worked as an assistant director at Puri Jagannadh for the films like ‘Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi’ and ‘Shivamani’. Right now, I’m busy with four films. When once I complete the projects, I will think about direction.
What are your next projects?
At present four films are on the sets. Another project under Sunder C production is ready for release.
