Kanya Kumari, starring Geeth Saini and Sricharan Rachakonda in the lead roles, is touted to be a heartfelt village drama. It is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video and Aha from September 17. Directed by Srujan, the movie is produced by Radical Pictures and presented by Madhu Shalini.
Director Srujan has previously made Pushpaka Vimanam with Anand Deverakonda. Geeth Saini plays a girl from Srikakulam, bringing raw emotion and charm to her role, while Sricharan Rachakonda’s performance has also been praised for its natural appeal.
The male lead plays a young man from Srikakulam, who dreams of being a farmer, rather than following more conventional urban ambitions. He is simple-hearted. The titular character, his love interest, wants to become a software engineer. The narrative of Kanya Kumari is about aspirations, limitations on dreams, and whether they can have wings amid social constraints.
The film’s technical team has contributed significantly to its impact, with Naresh Adapa handling editing, Shiva Gajula and Haricharan K managing cinematography, and Ravi Nidamarthi composing the music. Sound design by Nagarjuna Tallapalli adds further depth to the narrative. Srujan also served as the movie's writer and producer.
