An old video clip of Chiranjeevi's comments after watching Baahubali: The Beginning has resurfaced on social media after the release of Baahubali: The Epic. A section of movie buffs, especially those blindly critical of the Mega family, say that Chiru was not celebrating the epic movie out of jealousy.
In the video, Chiru merely remarks that the film works if watched with no expectations. When a scribe asks if it will outdo Magadheera in terms of box-office performance, he answers that it's too early to comment. Chiru also wishes that a film like Baahubali succeeds commercially.
Although there is nothing to indicate that Chiru had a problem with Baahubali, Prabhas or Rajamouli, time and again, a section of movie-goers pull out the clip to target him.
Later, on a different occasion, Chiranjeevi described Baahubali as Telugu cinema's identity and pride. He profusely appreciated Rajamouli on the occasion.
