Is 'Kantara: Chapter 1' postponed? Know the truth

Amidst media reports that 'Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1' has been postponed, Hombale Films today clarified that the film is very much on its way to being released on October 2 as planned. "We are right on track, and everything is progressing as planned. The film will release in theatres worldwide on October 2, 2025," the makers have clarified. "Trust us, it will be worth the wait. We kindly urge everyone to avoid speculation and refrain from sharing unverified updates," they added.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur and writer-director Rishab Shetty have plans to release the movie in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and English.

The story of the first 'Kantara' film, released last year, took place in three time periods: 1847, 1970, and 1990. Co-written by Anirudh Mahesh and Shanil Guru, the mythical film will be shot by cinematographer Arvind S Kashyap. B Ajaneesh Loknath, Banglan and Prathik Shetty are going to take care of the music, production design and editing, respectively.

In recent months, 'Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1' has been in the news over some unavoidable setbacks. Hombale Films has set out to release the movie without fail on the scheduled date.
