The Telangana police on Thursday questioned Vishnu Priya for 10 hours and Ritu Chowdhary for 6 hours in connection with the Betting Apps promotion case in which several individuals have ben named. They examined both individuals' bank transactions and investigated the funds they might have received from betting apps. They will have to attend for another round of questioning on March 25th.
Other celebrities against whom cases have been filed include: Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Nidhhi Agerwal, Lakshmi Manchu, Vakeel Saab actress Ananya Nagalla, YouTuber Siri Hanumanthu, anchor Sreemukhi, Prameetha, Varshini Sounderajan, Vasanthi Krishnan, Soba Shetty, Amrutha Chowdary, Nayani Pvani, Neha Pathan, Imran Khan, Vishnupriya, Harsha Sai, Supritha.
In another news, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has reportedly asked the Movie Artists Association to refrain its members from endorsing betting apps in future. The MAA, at the time of writing, hadn't issued any statement in this regard.
