ZEE5 is all set to stream the supernatural horror comedy Devil’s Double Next Level from June 13. The movie will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Starring the talented Kollywood actor Santhanam as the lead man, this one has two directors in two different roles: Selvaraghavan and Gautam Menon. Geetika Tiwary in a supporting role. Kasthuri Shankar, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Rajendran have other roles.
The makers, announcing the OTT date, said that their film tells the story of a film critic who is "trapped in a movie made by a vengeful director". Filled with magical elements, the plot is interspersed with twists and turns. "Audiences can expect jump scares and LOL moments," Santhanam stated.
ZEE5 is excited to bring Devil's Double Next Level to its platform. Lloyd C Xavier, Sr. Vice President Marketing South and Business Head, believes the film's blend of thrills, humor, and innovative storytelling will strongly resonate with viewers. Writer and director Prem Anand aimed to push the boundaries of horror comedy, incorporating meta-elements and surprises. Lead actor Santhanam found his role as Kissa creatively satisfying, describing the character as bold, loud, and quirky. He enjoyed the "meta madness," horror-comedy twists, and chaos of playing a character trapped within the type of film he typically satirizes.
Critics have generally praised the movie. "Self-awareness is the biggest strength of DD Next Level. The screenplay is largely breezing through one humour trope after the other. There are well-written, enjoyable and elaborate sequences," wrote TNIE in its review.
