But here is a fascinating tidbit that might surprise you: the film almost had a different lead! Believe it or not, the production team, specifically producer D. Suresh Babu, initially considered Mahesh Babu for the lead role.
However, director Kasi Viswanath had other plans. He expressed concerns that roping in Mahesh Babu, who was already a highly sought-after star (his Okkadu had probably already released when these discussions were taking place), would be a lengthy and complicated process due to his packed schedule.
Had Mahesh Babu done Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu, Tarun would have missed a hit. And, probably, Suresh Productions, too. After all, the story suited a chocolate boy more than a superstar material.
