Megastar Chiranjeevi once shared a shocking experience during an interview. He recounted how a fan once fed him a cake laced with a substance, later identified as a Vaseekaran powder (a type of charm or manipulative substance), during the filming of Marana Mrudangam years ago. The fan, feeling ignored by Chiranjeevi, mixed the powder into the cake and fed it to him. Chiranjeevi noticed an unusual taste and spat it out, and subsequent lab tests confirmed the presence of a foreign substance. He chose not to take action against the fan, expressing shock at the incident.
Many believe that it was a murder attempt made at the behest of a political heavyweight, who was also a thespian. "It was not a murder attempt. Going by Chiranjeevi's words, it was love gone wrong and had no conspiracy. Ideally, the misguided fan should have been handed over to the police. But Chiranjeevi forgave him," a fan wrote.
