When it comes to Indian cinema, the background score of a film has to be precise, not generic. In a recent podcast, Vijay Deverakonda shared that his biggest fear has always been that the BGM he had in mind while performing a scene might not match with the BGM the music director delivers.
"For all my films, I had that apprehension running in my mind. The BGM can alter the way you feel about a film. The impact can be drastic," Vijay said, adding that Kingdom was an exception.
For the first time, Vijay had no such concern. "With Kingdom, I knew I had a director in Gowtam Tinnanuri who has a good sense of music. And in Ani (Anirudh Ravichander) someone who can nail it," the Liger actor said.
Commenting on Kingdom, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that he expects its BGM to be terrific because Anirudh hasn't previously worked on a period drama with prison scenes.
Kingdom is scheduled to be released in theatres on July 31.
