Nandamuri Balakrishna is now a Padma Bhushan recipient. The senior actor, who has acted in 109 movies, will be conferred with the third highest civilian honour later this year.
Congratulations are pouring in from all quarters. Taking to social media, Jr NTR congratulated his Babai. "Heartiest congratulations to Bala Babai on being honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. This recognition is a testament to your unparalleled contributions to cinema and your relentless public service," the Devara actor wrote.
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja joined the Telugu film industry to congratulate the Daaku Maharaaj actor. "Congratulations to Padma Bhushan, Balayya Babu. A well-deserved honour for his contributions to cinema and philanthropic efforts toward society," he wrote. "Heartfelt congratulations to my Babai Nandamuri Balakrishna garu on receiving the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. This honor is a true recognition of your exceptional contributions to the world of cinema and your relentless efforts in serving society," mentioned Nandamuri Kalyanram, the Bimbisara actor.
Alongside the Akhanda actor, Tamil superstar Ajith has also been honoured with the Bhushan. Kannada cinema legend Anant Nag and Bollywood filmmaker Shekhar Kapur have also been honoured with Padma Bhushan.
Acclaimed actress Shobana Chandrakumar has also been bestowed with Padma Bhushan.
