The team of Daaku Maharaaj on Sunday interacted with the media hours after their movie's domestic and international release. The film could be released in Tamil and Hindi on January 17. There are also plans to make a prequel to Daaku Maharaaj.
Speaking on the occasion, producer S Naga Vamsi said, "It is too early to talk about the revenues. Time will decide the film's commercial range. So far, I haven't come across a single negative comment. The sequences that have been raved about by the audience were apparent to us months before the film's release. We were confident that they would be a blast in theatres. It made no difference that there were no midnight shows in Telangana. The ground talk from the US and Andhra Pradesh took off well right from the word go. The audience feel that wife-husband, brother-sister sentiment are awesome in the movie. This is not just a mass film but a family movie."
Director Bobby Kolli said, "Balakrishna garu has done more than 100 films. I resolved to make a new-age action entertainer. That's why the film turned out to be this way. Two years ago, my film Waltair Veerayya was released. Sankranthi has become a sentiment for me. Fight master V Venkat embraced the movie as a solo action choreographer. The action scenes in Daaku Maharaaj are producing hysterical highs in theatres. I must also thank my writing team, especially screenplay writer K Chakravarthy Reddy. He is a writing talent whom I have known for the past 15 years. He spent sleepless nights with me. If female characters are given space and respect, it is possible to generate whistle-worthy moments. Urvasi Rautela is not in the movie just for the special song. Her role has been appreciated by the audience."
Pragya Jaiswal said, "I am feeling so grateful. I just finished watching the movie. It was an incredible team. So many dreams have come true because of this film."
Shraddha Srinath thanked the audience. "You all are appreciating everyone's performance in the movie. This is a very special day."
Urvasi Rautela said, "I got to play an amazing role in Daaku Maharaaj. I am also grateful for the role. Naga Vamsi is a firebrand producer. It was a world-class experience working with the legendary Balakrishna garu."
