Rana Daggubati's Spirit Media has brought out some excellent movies in terms of content. Rakshit Shetty's Telugu-dubbed Kannada movie Charlie 777, Venkatesh Maha's Care of Kancharapalem, Sai Pallavi's Gargi, Keeda Cola, 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu, and the more recent international production All We Imagine as Light are all acclaimed for their solid content. However, staggering box office success has eluded Rana's production house.
Dark Chocolate is Rana's next presentation under Spirit Media. Starring Vishwadev Rachakonda of 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu fame and Bindhu Madhavi of Bigg Boss Tamil fame, the film's genre is undefined (consciously so). The film's First Look is interesting.
Written and directed by Shashank Srivastavaya, Vivek Sagar is its music director. It is touted to be a bittersweet treat.
If Dark Chocolate becomes a box office success, Rana Daggubati will feel motivated to support more and more content-driven cinema. "After the success of 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu and Pareshan, get ready for the third collaboration between Spirit Media & Waltair Productions," Rana wrote.
