In May this year, Sithara Entertainments announced a movie fronted by Anand Deverakonda. His Baby pair Vaishnavi Chaitanya is the female lead. This 32nd movie of Sithara Entertainments has Aditya Hasan, the director of ETV Win's '90s - A Middle Class Biopic', taking care at the helm. Touted to be a "delightful mix of comedy, romance, emotion and drama catering to audiences of all kinds", the film's title glimpse is out.
Epic - First Semester is the title of the 2026 release. Today's video shows the female lead listing out some ideal qualities in her dream man. Anand's character is hardly the kind of husband material she wants. Yet, she falls for him in a twist.
Set partly in London, Epic seems to be a sweet rom-com where the lead pair break free of conventions. The Western-style convocation attire of the female lead is a far cry from Anand's Gaddar-type attire. Then, there are references to the heroes of Sekhar Kammula and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, two contrasting filmmakers.
Hesham Abdul Wahab is setting the songs to tune. A new Director of Photography named Azeem Mohammad has been roped in for this movie, to be co-produced by Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios. Avinash Kolla and Navin Nooli, two of the regulars for Sithara's movies, are on board. Epic - First Semester is yet to lock its release date.
