Muthayya has secured numerous awards in the festival circuit. Directed by Bhaskhar Maurya, the film features Balagam fame K Sudhakar Reddy in the central role. Also featuring Arun Raj, Poorna Chandra, and Mounika Bomma, this one will stream on ETV Win soon.
A song titled 'Aravaila Padusodu' from the movie is out. Conceived around the titular character, it was shared digitally by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Karthik Rodriguez's music, Sivakrishna Chari's lyrics, and Vidyasagar Bankupally's singing are lively.
Muthayya has won the Best Indian Film Award at the Kolkata International Film Festival 2022. Earlier, it won international acclaim. "This is a quirky folk track with earthy beats and playful storytelling that reflects a slice-of-life rural life with a humorous twist. The song's charm lies in its unpolished simplicity and character-driven lyrics," the makers stated.
Sai Leela, Kiran Kumar and Jayavardhan Sagar also feature in the film. Lokesh is the costumer.
Bankrolled by Vamsi Karumanchi and Vrinda Prasad of HY Life Entertainments Private Limited and Fictionary Entertainment LLP, Muthayya has cinematography by Divakar Mani. Balu is the Art Director.
