'Mirai', 'Mowgli': People Media Factory Doubles Down on Rare Genres

People Media Factory is currently producing two rare-genre movies. 'Mirai' led by Teja Sajja and 'Mowgli' led by Roshan Kanakala belong to atypical genres.

'Mirai' is a superhero movie directed by Karthik Gattamneni of Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' fame. For all we know, producer TG Vishwa Prasad is planning to release the movie simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Chinese languages in the Summer of 2025.

'Mowgli' is a forest-based love story directed by Sandeep Raj of 'Colour Photo' fame. This one, too, is slated to be released in theatres in the Summer of 2025.

'Mirai' and 'Mowgli' both have relative advantages and risk factors going for them. Teja Sajja has a hit behind him in the form of 'HanuMan'. On the other hand, the hero (Roshan) of 'Mowgli' has no hit to his credit. The director of 'Mirai' delivered a flop in the form of Ravi Teja's 'Eagle'; so, he might not be in good form. On the other hand, the director of 'Mowgli' delivered a lovable movie like 'Colour Photo' a few years ago. Above all, superhero movies have more traction among the audience compared to forest-based dramas.

People Media Factory's plans to release 'Mirai' and 'Mowgli' on a grand scale will depend heavily on the success of its upcoming movies like 'The Raja Saab', 'Viswam', 'Swag', and 'Maa Kaali'.
