'Arya' turned 20 on Tuesday. An event was held in Hyderabad with Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, producer Dil Raju, composer Devi Sri Prasad, actor Siva Balaji and others in attendance.
On the occasion, Bunny said that he was mesmerized while watching Puri Jagannadh's 'Idiot' in theatres back in 2002. "While watching the movie, I asked myself, 'What if I were to do such a film? How would the response be in theatres?'. When Sukumar narrated the story of 'Arya', I got that kind of a high although 'Arya' had no similarities with 'Idiot'. I knew that my 'Idiot' was 'Arya'," the 'Pushpa' actor said.
Incidentally, Ravi Teja was under consideration for 'Arya', and so also Prabhas. "At first, 'Arya' was supposed to be titled 'Nachiketa'. The story was narrated to Prabhas, who felt that it didn't suit him," Dil Raju revealed. Bunny was cast by chance when Raju and Sukumar ran into him at a venue during the scripting stage.
