'Deadpool & Wolverine', the American superhero film, is based on Marvel Comics. Produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, it is directed by Shawn Levy. It hit the cinemas today.
What are film critics saying about the latest box-office release? Indie Wire says that Ryan Reynolds (playing Deadpool) has blasted into the MCU with a Meta-Sequel that nakedly tries to save Superhero movies from extinction. The review appears to be a glowing one.
Vulture gave a mixed review. "This isn’t a particularly good movie but it’s so determined to beat you down with its incessant irreverence that you might find yourself submitting to it," wrote Vulture. "The picture is replete with some welcome cameos that Disney has done an exceptional job of hiding," it adds.
"The highly-anticipated odd-couple action bromance shatters the fourth wall into a million pieces with plenty of juke-box slams to keep blood-sugar content high," wrote The Guardian.
"'Deadpool & Wolverine' makes an admittedly funny and surprisingly emotional argument in defense of superhero movies. And yet it somehow makes an even stronger argument that it should be the last one that Marvel ever makes," another critic wrote.
India Today and a few other Indian publications praised ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in their reviews.
