Ram Charan: King of Rumoured Roles, Emperor of Unannounced Projects

Ram Charan is the undisputed emperor of Rumoured Roles and Unannounced Projects. He is time and again in the news over special roles he never plays, intends to play or is approached to play.

In the latest instance, the Mega Power Star is billed to play Lord Ram in 'Jai Hanuman', to be made by Prasanth Varma of 'HanuMan'. This is in all likelihood fake news.

Last year, the 'RRR' actor was in the news over his alleged cameo in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo'. Nothing of that sort was happening.

In September last year, some media houses said that rumours had it that Ram Charan was in talks to play the former Indian Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli in a biopic. Again, it was fake.

Recently, there was a rumour that Bollywood star director Rajkumar Hirani would be making a film with the 'Rangasthalam' star. Hirani clarified that he had never even spoken to Charan even once.

In January last year, Charan was quoted as saying that he would be working with these directors Sukumar, Prashanth Neel, and a Sandalwood director. A year later, none of these projects is on the cards. A year later, something as basic as the release date of 'Game Changer' is not known. And his delayed movie with 'Uppena' director Buchi Babu Sana, announced about two years ago, is yet to go on the floors. One can be sure that, before these two movies are completed, Charan will do a dozen other projects. On paper.
