As per a Bollywood trade tracker, the superhero movie continued to not only hold ground but also dominate in the Hindi belt on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The national multiplex chains followed suit as 'HanuMan' raked in the moolah on single screens. While the Hindi version netted Rs 2.15 Cr on Day 1, on Day 3, it netted Rs 6.06 Cr in the Hindi belt in India. The total for the first weekend stood at Rs 12.26 Cr. Monday's figures are said to be very encouraging. The final figures are yet to come in.
On the back of the Ram Mandir sentiment and the increased market for spectacle movies, 'HanuMan' minted more than what 'KGF: Chapter 1', 'Kantara' and even 'Pushpa' could in the Hindi belt.
In Nizam and Andhra Pradesh territories, the film grossed more than Rs 23.50 Cr in the said period. On Monday, housefuls were reported from every territory in the Telugu belt.
