Actor Siddharth of 'Bommarillu' fame has yet again faced a box office setback. Recently, 'Indian 2' flopped badly. Although he was not its hero, he was a protagonist. The film bombing at the box office was undoubtedly a misfire in his career.
And now, his latest film, 'Miss You', is on its way to becoming a disaster. Directed by Kollywood's N Rajasekar, the romantic entertainer co-stars 'Naa Saami Ranga' fame Ashika Ranganath. The film has received negative reviews. "The director squanders the film's promising premise with predictable storytelling and poorly developed characters. This is a predictable two-hour episode that goes after low-hanging fruits and offers forgettable returns," wrote The Hindu in its review.
"Miss You also suffers from clichés. Though it shows Subbulakshmi as a strong woman, capable of managing her work, home and problems, she is shown as a damsel in distress," opined India Today in its review of the movie.
The Hollywood Reporter trashed the movie as "instantly forgettable". "The awkward songs, forced fight scenes and general predictability makes 'Miss You' the kind of film we begin to forget as we are watching it," the reviewer there wrote.
