'Pushpa 2', partly directed by Sriman!

'Pushpa 2' was partly directed by Sriman, a less-known associate of director Sukumar. Speaking at the film's success event on Saturday, Sukumar said that about 30% of the shots we see in the film were directed by Sriman, the second unit director of the movie. Sriman didn't turn up for the event, though.

The childhood and truck episodes were shot by Sriman. "He directed nearly 30-40% of the film. Ideally, it should have been ‘A film by Sukumar & Sriman’," the 'Rangasthalam' maker said.

Director Sukumar made it a point to introduce his entire direction team on the occasion. He spoke in detail about the individual contributions made by different members of the team. Veera Kogatam, for example, helped him understand the customs, attire and dialects prevalent in the Chittoor and Kadapa regions. Veera headed the research team.

Sukumar not finding the time to direct even key portions like the truck episode is shocking, given 'Pushpa 2' was in the making for two full years and the scripting went on for more than a year.

Netizens are wondering if 'Rangasthalam' was shot to a good extent by Buchi Babu Sana of 'Uppena' fame and Srikanth Odela of 'Dasara' fame.
