Akash Puri, the son of director-producer Puri Jagannadh, recently changed his name to Akash Jagannadh. Close on the heels of his name change, he is in the news regarding the announcement of a new project. Titled 'Thalvar', the film is billed as an action drama.
Producer Bhaskar ELV of Warnick Studios hosted writer Vijayendra Prasad at the launch event. Actor Karthikeya Gummakonda, 'Uppena' director Buchi Babu Sana, and 'Waltair Veerayya' maker Bobby Kolli were also present.
Unconfirmed reports say that Puri Jagannadh will be seen in a role in 'Thalvar'. If true, it will be fun to see the father-son duo share the screen space.
Ahead of the launch of the project, Akash on Sunday said in a video statement that he didn't do any projects for two years because he was waiting for the right script. "Finally, it is here," Akash added.
Kesava Kiran (music director), Trilok Siddu (cinematography), Ayila Srinivasa Rao (editing), and Vithal Kosanam (art direction) are working with director Kasi Parasuuram on 'Thalvar', which is due for a 2025 release. The director himself is penning the story, screenplay, and dialogues.
