Biggest blunder of 'Mr. Bachchan' is THIS

'Mr. Bachchan' might make some money because of its songs. A large section of the audience have been starved of good mass numbers. This film offers not one but three very good songs. So, Mickey J Meyer might save 'Mr. Bachchan' from completely getting drowned at the box office.

Regardless of the film's commercial fate, one truth is irrefutable. The excessive use of Hindi cinema classics (songs/melodies) is its most obvious blunder. If you haven't watched the movie, here is our happy spoiler.

Ravi Teja's character is a Kumar Sanu fan, while Sachin Khedekar's father is a Kishore Kumar fan. Director Harish Shankar used the two characters to display his musical taste, which he believes is superior. He believes that his taste for lyrics and music is distinguished. This taste turned out to be the 'paithyam' of 'Mr. Bachchan'. The first half feels like an extended version of the Antyaakshari episode from 'Gabbar Singh' minus the mass appeal.

Hindi-language classics are unfamiliar to the mass Telugu audience, purportedly the target audience of 'Mr. Bachchan'. Had Telugu hits of actors like Chiranjeevi been used more, probably, a few scenes would have come out better. Anyways, Harish Shanakr is a genius. Let's not assume that he doesn't know such small things.
