It has been believed that actor Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan haven't been on good terms. The perception has been fuelled further by yesterday's comment by the latter.
At the audio launch event of a film he is producing, Sivakarthikeyan said, “I am not the type of person who says I found somebody and gave them an identity. I don't claim I gave them life. Making this film (titled 'Kottukkaali', due to be released in theatres on August 23) as a producer is my small contribution in terms of introducing someone, just like you introduce a friend."
Dhanush, many years ago, happened to bankroll a film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. It was a hit. Since Sivakarthikeyan was in the early stages of his film career at that point, Dhanush's fans attribute his success to the 'magnanimity' shown by their favourite actor.
The market range of Sivakarthikeyan is the same as Dhanush. The latest row feels like a media-manufactured controversy.
