Nara Rohit awaits the release of 'Prathinidhi 2' on April 25. On Wednesday, marking Sri Rama Navami, a new project featuring him as the male lead was announced.
Titled 'Sundarakanda', the film is touted to be a feel-good romantic drama. Rohit's voice in the title glimpse refers to love stories such as 'Geethanjali', 'Arya', 'Kushi' and 'Bommarillu'. "No two love stories are the same. No two people love in the same way. That's why we have so many love stories. Each one has magic. I have encountered one such magic in my life," he says.
Going by the video, Rohit is returning to the big screen in the role of an aged lover in his early 30s. At a time when most actors are going after thrillers and spectacle movies (whether or not they land them is a different matter), at a time when most actors are wary of love stories, it is bold of Rohit to try out a love story. Will the gamble work? Only time will tell.
